  • DONALD J McRAE,  President

    DONALD J McRAE Finance Director of National Semiconductor (UK) Ltd and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of  Scotland. Donald joined National in 1986 as the Finance Manager and was promoted to his current position in 1989. As well as being responsible for Finance, Donald also has the Information Systems and Procurement  organisations at the plant reporting to him. Before joining National, Donald worked for KPMG in its London, The Hague and Glasgow  offices, where his main focus was in audit, accounting and tax

  • ELAINE STEWART, Vice President

ELAINE STEWART Proprietor of Elaine Stewart Public Relations (ESPR) has worked as a PR consultant in Scotland since 1981 representing companies locally, nationally and globally. Prior to establishing ESPR in Inverclyde in 1993, she worked with several Glasgow-based consultancies and was a freelance journalist. Elaine has worked in a wide variety of market sectors, handling the full gamut of PR disciplines including media relations, industrial, corporate and employee relations, copy writing and special event management.

  • DAVID MORGAN MCIBS , Treasurer

    DAVID MORGANJoined Royal Bank of Scotland in 1985 serving in various branches throughout the West of Scotland. Moved to Greenock in 1991 and carried out various roles and served as a Business Manager between 1996-2001. In 2001 appointed to current role as Manager of Commercial Banking in Inverclyde. Member of Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.

  • BILLY SCOTT         BA, DMG, TQFE

    Head of Business Development at James Watt College, one of the largest Further Education Institutions in the country. Billy has responsibility for growing commercial business for the College in both domestic and international markets. He was previously Head of School in the College’s Business Faculty, responsible for the development, management and delivery of training programmes and courses in Business and Management.

    Billy is also a Director of Business Excellence Ayrshire.

  • HUGH BUNTEN FCIBS, GCoC

    HUGH BUNTEN Worked for Clydesdale Bank for over 30 years, latterly as Area Manager, Sales and Service, Ayrshire Area.

    A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.

  • JOHN MCDOUGALL

JOHN MCDOUGALLJoined Clydesdale Bank in 1973 and worked in a number of branches throughout Scotland with the final position of Accountant in Port Glasgow. John then joined IBM in 1978 and worked in a number of areas of the business although predominantly Finance before moving into management. He has held numerous managemt roles in different areas of the business throughout the last 12 years, including key customer support roles for the Nordics, UK and Germany. John has also held most of the Finance Management positions including Financial Planning, Cost Management and European Inventory Manager. In June 2005 John was appointed the Integrated Supply Chain Controller for the Greenock Site.

  • ALLAN WARWICK

ALLAN WARWICK Allan Warwick graduated Bachelor of Accountancy from Glasgow University in 1981 and trained with Peat Marwick Mitchell in Glasgow gaining a CA in 1984.  Joined IBM in 1985 and undertook various roles within the Finance function including Asset Management, Inventory Planning and Profit Forecasting.  He was appointed to management in 1993 and undertook several positions within the Finance function.  In June 1997 Allan moved to a Manufacturing Operations role within the IBM Greenock Desktop brand and in October 1998 he progressed to the Functional manager of the Options and Visuals brand for the Greenock site.   In August of 2000 Allan returned to assume the Finance Manager role for the Greenock site Finance function and in May 2002 he was appointed to the position of Site Controller for IBM Greenock. In May 2005 Allan transferred to Lenovo, the Chinese company acquiring the IBM PCD Division, to take up his current role of Chief Accountant for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

  • ALISTER ROBERTSON

ALISTER ROBERTSONAlister Robertson was born in Greenock, educated at Greenock Academy, graduated BSc. in Civil Engineering from Glasgow University and has been at the "sharp end" ever since - working in building, civil engineering, demolition contracting and in development.

  • Nick Quinn, PhD, MSc, BA (Hons), MCIM

Nick QuinnNick is Director of Marketing and Supply chain for Blairs Limited, the UK’s leading manufacturer of bespoke timber windows and doors. Nick has a BA (Hons) in economics, an MSc in Marketing and a PhD in business support networks and is currently in the final year of a part-time MBA at the University of Strathclyde. He has been involved with Blairs in a variety of roles for over nine years with an intervening period working for 3i in London on a Buy Out Management Buy In project.

  • IAIN McGREGOR,

    IAIN McGREGORIain McGregor is the owner of Vested Interest design (Vi design) which is a creative communication agency specialising in design for print and web and multimedia. Iain worked in the South of England for many years before returning to Scotland and starting Vi design in 1993. Vi design has worked on briefs for many national and international companies and has wide ranging experience and expertise in the education, leisure, textile, food, tourism and engineering sectors.

  • BILL MITCHELL, Immediate Past President

    BILL MITCHELLPartner in the local firm of solicitors Patten & Prentice, Bill has worked in Greenock since 1990. Prior to that he worked for nine years in Glasgow. Bill has a general chamber-based practice including domestic and commercial conveyancing, tenancies, executries, tax and trusts and investment business.
    Until recently he also had responsibility within the firm for civil court, debt recovery and family matters. He is a family mediator and a member of Comprehensive Accredited Lawyer Mediators (CALM)
